    Play65™'s Loyal Player, Victor Ashkenazi, Won the New York Open Backgammon Tournament 2012

    Victor Ashkenazi won the championship tournament of the New York Metropolitan Backgammon open, held in New Jersey, January 5-8, 2012. Victor, with Falafel as his partner, took part in the finals of the New York Doubles, as well.
    Victor had won two major backgammon tournaments in the past; Las Vegas open in 2007 and New York Open in 2009.

    5K Tournament or 6K Tournament?

    The last 5K tournament of Play65™ was also the first tourney of 2012 (held on 1/1/12).Thanks to the large extent of participation (98 players!); the prize-pool has been increased dramatically from $5000 to $6370.
    The winner of the tournament is the Israeli player, Burduk7, who gained no less than $1789!
    We would like to express our condolences to the Russian finalist, piplik, who won "only" $1019.

    16 Players have won prizes in the 5K tournament, which took place on Sunday, October the 2nd.The final match was held between the German player, Jerygiltter and Agiassos from Greece.Jerygiltter won (7-3), thus received $1574; Agiassos won $894 and the semifinalists, Nodari from Russia and Eristoff from Georgia, won $559 each.Thanks to the high number of participants, the tourney's prize-pool was increased to $5590, and 12 additional players shared the remaining $2004.Join, play and win money at the multiplayer backgammon games of Play65!
